Members of the Bridgewater Normal School Class B, in 1923. Prominent amongst this class was S. Louise Dickinson, who served not only as the class president from 1921-23, but also as the editor-in-chief of the 1923 Normal Offering (yearbook). Dickinson later gained fame as an author under her married name Louise Dickinson Rich. Rich's books include "Only Parent" (1953), "Innocence Under the Elms" (1955), "The Coast of Maine" (1956), and the World War II bestseller "We Took to the Woods" (1942), which recounted her family's Thoreau-like life in a wilderness home in northwestern Maine.
